The procedure applies to monograph paperback comics/graphic novels shelved in Q. They are usually collectible items that should be protected from excessive end processing so we will vary procedures as follows:
A new variation to save materials is included below, i.e. use one item and plastic bag for a range of items.
Please adopt the following immediately:
Attach one item for a range of vols (max 6-12 depending on the size)
Indicate in the item volume field, eg, v.1-6
If you have a discontinuous range of vols, separate items will be needed, e.g., one item for v.1-2 another for v.5-6
Pencil call number and item no. inside back cover of each vol. In cases where the paper/graphics prevent writing on the item, write on a slip of paper and insert loosely inside the comic)
Small ownership stamp inside front of comic
Attach barcode to front of plastic bags, spine label on back of plastic bags
Item record fixed field note - (NOT g or v)
No tattletape (items can only be borrowed from Reserve with card/ID)
