Reference Books

After enquiring with Del and Jan we can now go ahead and code Ref books for R locations if either:

1. They are replacements of existing editions at R (locate old ed. to general collection)

Or

2. They have been approved for Ref location by Jan (and have a note in the order record confirming this)

Acquisitions will try to intercept any ref book orders and make sure that they are replacement eds or approved by Jan so that appropriate notes can be placed in the order record before they get to cataloguing.

If you are cataloguing any items that you think should be Ref books but are not 'approved' or 'replacement eds', pass to Gail who will have them checked
