New editions for Reserve

From email (G. Valencia 19/4/12) If the selector indicates a book is to be sent to Reserve, acquisition staff put a rush slip into the book, write Rush to Reserve and the unit code if known so all staff know it is to go to Reserve. Sometimes when the book is being catalogued, cataloguers will notice that the earlier edition is in Reserve, but there is no note from the selector to send it to Reserve. It was decided at a recent cataloguing meeting that if the earlier edition is in Reserve, but no note from the selector, cataloguing staff will put a rush slip into the book, write “Earlier ed. in reserve” and send to Reserve. This should be enough to tell Reserve staff to either communicate with librarians or unit co-coordinators to determine if the book is required in Reserve or no
