Budget Papers

Subject: [Catalog] Budget papers

Cataloguers please note, call numbers for budget papers have been a bugbear from way back, so I'm just clarifying what we now do with INDIVIDUAL MONOGRAPHS that are budget papers (Australia or WA) The main problem is identifying that the item is a budget paper, especially if there is no series statement. If unsure check with Ross or cataloguing librarians.
LOCATION: mgr (Government reference) LABEL: GR
DDC:
Use pre-DDC21 Dewey 354.9400722 for Australia, 354.9410072 for WA
CUTTER:
Previously items were all at B972
Current practice is to cutter to main entry (standard practice)
YEAR:
Standard practice (year will always be the year of the budget)

Many federal items may cutter to AUS as the main entry is often a government minister or office - this is OK, the year usefully separates them from other years' budgets.
e.g.
